About the wood-tone finish — not solid timber
The lamp body achieves its warm wood-grain appearance through water transfer printing (hydrographics) applied to a metal pole — not real wood. This technique faithfully replicates natural grain texture and warmth without the weight or humidity sensitivity of solid timber. Color tone consistency is excellent across units because it’s a controlled printing process.

Body Finish
The arc and hardware come in two electroplated metallic finishes: Gold and Nickel. The pole body uses water transfer printing to create a realistic wood-grain effect in either a lighter wood tone or a deeper walnut tone.

No. The wood-grain appearance comes from water transfer printing (hydrographics) on a metal pole — not actual timber. The result closely mimics natural wood grain in both texture and warmth, and it’s more consistent unit to unit than real wood would be.
What bulb does it take?
The Gibson Arc uses a standard E26 base in North America and Canada, or E27 in Europe and Australia. Both LED and Edison-style bulbs work. Bulbs are not included — we recommend a warm 2700–3000K LED for everyday use, or a vintage Edison bulb for a more dramatic aesthetic.
Is this lamp hardwired or plug-in?
It’s completely plug-in — no wiring or electrician required. It comes with a 59.1-inch (150 cm) cord ending in a standard plug, plus an inline On/Off switch on the cord for easy control.
What are the exact dimensions?
The lamp measures L 170 cm × H 190 cm (L 66.9″ × H 74.8″). The arc reaches forward so the shade can sit over a sofa or reading chair while the base stays behind or beside it. You can click the size diagram above to enlarge it.
Can it be used outdoors or in a bathroom?
No. This is an indoor-only lamp and is not rated for damp or wet locations. It’s suitable for living rooms, bedrooms, and home offices — but not bathrooms, covered patios, or garages.
What finish and shade combinations are available?
Four body finish combinations are available: Wood Color & Gold, Wood Color & Nickel, Walnut Color & Gold, and Walnut Color & Nickel. Gold and Nickel refer to the electroplated metallic finish on the arc and hardware. Each body finish can be paired with a Beige or White linen shade, giving eight combinations in total.
