Liposomal Formula VITAMIN D3 2500IU is a dietary supplement containing 2500 units of vitamin D3 (as cholecalciferol) which helps maintain normal blood calcium levels and normal bone condition.

The liposomes
The liposomes are colloidal dispersions in bioactive molecules transmission systems that have the transport capacity, improving their effectiveness. The dimensions of the liposomes depending on the method of their preparation and the physicochemical characteristics of their structural units are in the order of nanometers up to the order of a few micrometers.
Historically, in the early 1960s, there was a tendency to study the biophysical properties of colloidal systems which had lipid and phospholipid composition, with the aim of understanding the biophysical functions of cells. Biophysicist AD Bangham studied lipid colloidal dispersions to simulate cell membranes and study their functionality.
Liposomes, since they are made of building materials such as those of our cells, have advantages that are related to ‘ friendliness ‘ to human tissues. They have the ability to transport lipophilic bioactive molecules that do not dissolve easily in aqueous media and therefore have absorption and bioavailability problems, eg vitamins, curcumin, etc. but also water-soluble or amphiphilic molecules, improve their dissolution rate and absorption. through the gastrointestinal tract.
Liposomes can and do transport bioactive substances and improve their penetration through the gastrointestinal tract and are effective ‘ vehicles ‘ for transporting bioactive molecules.
The liposomal technology and especially the novel technology of supramolecular complexes of phospholipid in the lipid bilayer structure can improve the therapeutic efficacy of dietary supplements and an innovation in the art, yielding a high added value to the final dosage form.
