Not at all. The unique “clouding” and veining are the hallmark of authentic alabaster stone. These geological characteristics are highly prized in architectural lighting and ensure no two units are ever identical.
What bulbs does it use, and is it dimmable?
It takes E14 bulbs — six in the Standard size and eight in the Large size. A warm-white (around 3000K) bulb suits the alabaster best. With standard E14 bulbs it works on a common On/Off wall switch; for dimming, fit dimmable E14 LED bulbs and pair them with a compatible dimmer. How should I clean the alabaster stone?
Alabaster is a soft, porous natural stone. Use only a clean, dry microfiber cloth for dusting. Avoid using water, detergents, or chemical sprays, as they can seep into the stone and cause permanent staining or discoloration.

Yes, it is IP20 Damp-rated, making it suitable for well-ventilated bathrooms where ambient moisture is present. However, it should not be installed inside a shower or directly above a high-humidity bathtub area.
