Description
On the southern edge of the hilly central region of Sri Lanka (until 1972 Ceylon) this tea is harvested for you. The region around the city of Balangoda offers ideal cultivation conditions with its climatic conditions typical of the highlands. In addition, there is great experience in tea making – tea has been produced in the plantation “Pettiagalla” since 1880.
Black, long and wirey, the leaf of this orange pekoe presents itself before infusion. In the cup, it impresses dark golden yellow to slightly copper-coloured. In the taste, you can look forward to slightly malty and pleasantly spicy aromas.
