Bulb & Light Source
E26 (US/CA) or E27 (EU/AU) — max 40W, bulb not included
Compatible with LED and Edison filament bulbs up to 40W maximum. A warm-white LED globe at 2700–3000 K is recommended — the opal glass diffuses the bulb completely, so a standard globe LED at 8–10W provides even, warm ambient light through the full sphere of the shade. An Edison filament globe also works well if you prefer the visible filament character from the outside — though the opal glass will soften it rather than fully conceal it.

Frequently Asked QuestionsDoes this sconce work with a standard J-box? What adapter do I need?
The Erikson ships with a compact decorative canopy that is not sized to cover a standard North American 4″ round or square J-box. If your wall installation point has an existing J-box, you will need an additional mounting adapter — available from us as an accessory. Before ordering, please confirm your installation situation with our team and we will ensure your order includes the correct adapter. If your electrician intends to hardwire directly into the wall without a surface J-box, the default canopy is sufficient and no adapter is needed.
At 78cm tall and 4kg, what are the wall anchoring requirements?
The Erikson is a substantial sconce — 4 kg (8.8 lbs) and 78 cm tall from the wall mount. Correct wall anchoring is essential. The fixture should be mounted into wall studs or with appropriate heavy-duty wall anchors rated for the weight, installed by a qualified electrician. On drywall without a stud, standard plastic anchors are not sufficient for a 4 kg fitting. Consult the installation guide for the correct anchor specification for your wall type.
What installation height is recommended?
Because the Erikson is 78 cm tall, the mounting point on the wall determines where the globe will sit. The globe is positioned approximately mid-height on the arm. For most interior applications, mounting the base of the lamp at 100–120 cm from the floor places the globe at approximately 140–160 cm — comfortable eye level and visually balanced on a standard ceiling height wall. For bedside installations, mounting at 80 cm from the floor places the globe at approximately 120 cm, which is appropriate for seated reading light.
Is the globe on the Erikson replaceable if it breaks?
Contact our support team if the glass globe is damaged — we will advise on replacement availability. The globe is a standard-diameter opal glass ball that is secured at the fixture collar; it is not a proprietary component and compatible globes of the same diameter can be sourced from specialist glass shade suppliers if needed.
Is the Erikson certified for North America and Europe?
Yes. It holds certifications compatible with North America, Saudi Arabia, Europe, and Australia and operates on AC 110–240V worldwide.
